TEST BORES FOR SOAKAGE
100mm diameter bores drilled in basalt to encounter fractured rock, cavities etc. before soakage testing is performed.
LARGE DIAMETER BORES IN SOAKHOLES
150mm diameter bores drilled in existing or new soak holes, generally in volcanic regions for high flow stormwater disposal.
Small diameter bores drilled by percussion (Pneumatic/Hydraulic) to prove fill, loose rock, solid rock etc, usually up to 10m deep.
Small diameter bores drilled by percussion to prove where solid rock lies to decide upon excavation techniques.
FLOW TESTING OF EXISTING SOAKHOLES
Testing (by water trucks only, due to Auckland water restrictions) at rates of 1-200L/sec. Utilising our own water truck & non-potable water.
Intorock also provides drilling services for:
Slip Erosion · Explosives Blasting · Pilot Holes · Rock Anchors · Retaining Walls · Fence/Sign Post Holes · Earth Pin Bores · Soil Nails

Drillers are as diverse a group of people as the industry in which they work. Despite this diversity, a drillers profile has the following basic characteristics; they prefer to work outdoors, they like variety in their work, and can work long hours, sometimes under adverse conditions. Drillers also communicate effectively with geologists, engineers, consultants and property owners to ensure an efficient and economical project.
Every drilling operation is different and requires a highly skilled person to ensure that the drilling process is successful.
CODE OF PRACTICE
We thoroughly plan the drilling operation to make the best use of available funds and machinery.
We observe and correct drilling practices that could affect job progress and report additional information to those involved.
We work as a team with geologists and/or engineers to ensure we provide you with the best advice on all drilling matters.
